Real Wedding: Inspiration for your Wedding Flowers

When Stacy found us on The Knot, she wanted beautiful wedding flowers that were easy to select and simple to secure. She immediately fell in love with the White Garden Collection, a package of wedding flowers that boasts beautiful garden roses and full greenery accents. After submitting her wishlist, finalizing a few details and submitting an initial deposit, everything was set for Stacy and Daniel’s special day. In her words,

Flowers off the wedding to do list… Woo-hoo!

For their wedding day, this charming couple chose to say “I do” at Haue Valley Wedding Venue. This rustic venue was the perfect backdrop for their beautiful celebration.

Stacy selected a few extra items from the White Garden Collection to use as decorations and styling elements throughout her big day. Styling blooms, like those you see in the photo above (and pictured with the rings, below) are often used by photographers to capture photos of your invitation suite, but they can also be used to style your wedding perfume, shoes, rings, etc.

We recommend adding styling blooms to your wedding day preparation checklist, and asking your photographer if they will need these in your final meeting- if not before!

For her bridesmaids, Stacy wanted “something blue”. One detail that is important for us to know, is the color of your bridesmaids’ dresses. This is usually indicative of the ribbon color that we will suggest to wrap your bridesmaids’ bouquets. For Stacy, her bridesmaids dresses were steel blue.

When you submit a wishlist to The Flower Lab STL, one of the questions on the submission form is about the color of your bridesmaids dresses. If you don’t know at the time of submission, it is totally okay to put “TBD” or “unknown”. You can update us at any point leading up to your wedding day, and if you forget, we will be sure to ask you in the final email we send out to coordinate day-of pickup or delivery.

For their reception, Stacy and Daniel chose to repurpose some of their bridesmaid’s bouquets throughout the venue.

The best places to repurpose your bouquets are on a bar, gift table or in-memoriam table. For an entryway table, you might consider a bigger statement piece, like our large arrangement.

Congratulations Stacy and Daniel! Thank you for choosing us to be your wedding day florists. We wish you many years of happiness.
