Real Wedding: Brittainy and Patrick
This real wedding couple had a vision when it came to decorating their wedding on a budget and I absolutely approve. The Flower Lab was created to help budget-conscious couples get high-quality wedding flowers and decor that can be used in a variety of ways. Brittainy and Patrick’s chose the White Garden Collection for their big day, and selected several add-ons to complete their overall look and showcase their adorable charm!
Brittainy and Patrick incorporated flowers throughout their special day starting with their church ceremony! The couple used a combination of petite and regular white garden centerpieces to welcome guests to their church ceremony. During the ceremony, the couple used more garden centerpieces of different sizes on a modern structure to frame them while they said I do!
Bunches of eucalyptus were purchased from our Add-ons to place at the end of every other pew. Details like these help draw the eye down the aisle, and make for some really eye-catching photos of the ceremony.
After the ceremony, Brittainy and Patrick repurposed the floral pieces from the church throughout their wedding reception - adding elements to coffee tables, a welcome area (pictured as the opening image) and a memorial table. This couple did a fantastic job using the rule of threes to create visual interest and conversationI For example, the round side table has the elegance of the petite floral arrangement, romance of candlelight, and the charm of the vintage book!
The couple also chose to design their own centerpieces using recycled wine bottles and several bunches of white roses they purchased through the Flower Lab’s Flower Bunches. Just a little professional tip if you choose to DIY any of your floral accents, don’t forget to add water to the vase or container- after all, flowers need water!
Somebody grab me a fork because these details are yummy! It is easy to let self-serve tables feel like an afterthought, but as a wedding and special event florist, I’m telling you, DON’T DO IT! Food is such a quintessential part of any good wedding reception, and the visual presentation can really make a difference. Brittainy and Patrick kept the elements of the rest of their wedding consistent, using strands of ruscus, candles and books!
