5 Ways to Decorate Your Wedding on a Budget with The Flower Lab

When it comes to wedding planning, sticking to a budget can be a challenge. Pinterest is full of pretty inspiration that can derail even the most budget-conscious couples, but you really don’t have to go spend a fortune to have a beautiful wedding! When creating our Collections, we thought a lot about what types of items couples might need to enchase their weddings outside of personal flowers. From pre-designed centerpieces to loose blooms perfect for the DIY-inclined bride, we wanted to offer a one-stop-shop for wedding flowers that are both pretty and affordable, as well as items that can be used in a variety of ways depending on your vision!

Today we’re looking at five Flower Lab products that can help you decorate your wedding, without breaking the bank!

Centerpieces

If you’re looking for an easy and classic way to decorate your reception, look no further than our centerpieces! Each collection offers a centerpiece option that is perfect for 60” and 72” round guest tables (the typical sizes at most venues). These centerpieces come standard in clear glass vases, and can be upgraded to gold or silver compotes if you’re looking to add a metallic accent to your reception. Our design team does all the work, so all your wedding day helpers have to do is place them on each table!

Petite Centerpieces

A smaller version of our full-sized centerpieces, the petite centerpiece is perfect for 36” and 48” round tables or tall cocktail tables. If you’re using long feating tables at your reception, these petite designs pair perfectly with scattered candles down the length of the table. They also make great floral accents on bars, welcome tables, and gift tables! Like the larger versions, these come standard in clear glass vases and are ready to be placed throughout the reception space.

Garlands

The perfect addition to your ceremony or reception, our Garland by the Foot comes fully assembled and ready to go - just let us know how many feet you’ll need! In addition to long table decor, greenery garlands are perfect for dressing up an escort card display, attached to a ceremony structure, or draped over a mantle. The possibilities are endless!

We offer garlands in three greenery types: salal, ruscus and seasonal eucalyptus, but if you’re looking for a little added texture just weave in some loose greenery sprigs! (In the middle photo below, loose ruscus was added to a eucalyptus garland for a more wild, organic look).

Loose Flowers & Greenery

Perfect for DIY weddings, our floral and greenery bunches allow you to add a soft touch to any area of your day. Accent a lantern centerpiece, create your own aisle décor, or tuck blooms into garlands; thes no limit to what you can create! We offer loose bunches of baby’s breath, roses (in a variety of color options), ruscus, salal and eucalyptus to compliment any wedding vision!

Wedding planner Joyce Bogan of Be My Guest Events recently decorated her client’s intimate at-home wedding ceremony using a variety of Flower Lab products! For the ceremony, she filled the fireplace with candles and loose eucalyptus, and adorned the mantle with a garland accented with loose lavender roses (to match the bride’s Lavender Garden Collection bouquet!)

One of the easiest ways to add a romantic touch to any wedding is with candlelight! Our DIY Candle Kits are an easy way to add whimsy to your guest tables, cocktail tables or head table. The kits can be used alone, or pair perfectly with our Petite Centerpieces! These also make a great accent for decor items you’ve collected, like books or lanterns.
